The Wolgan Valley is the spot Charles Darwin chose for a stay in 1836. At that time it was a small ranch in the middle of nowhere, close to the Blue Mountains. Nowadays this farmland has turned into a luxurious ecological resort, still overlooking the old ranch/house and Wolgan Valley, which is located between two National Parks. Surrounded by creeks and sheer sandstone cliffs, this magical valley turns gold during the sunset. It hasn´t changed much since 1836. Animals pass by while you´re on your way to dinner.
Every lodge style suite has a private pool and a cosy veranda with a fantastic view that invites you to sit down in the rocking chair and enjoy being far far away. The interior is mostly made of wood and stone with a fireplace between bed- and living room. It is a joy to even stay inside.
Beverages and food are included, every meal is delicious just as much their selection of Australian wines is too. You‘re able to participate in the daily activities, like Horse Trekking or Wildlife Spotting. From Sydney to Wolgan Valley you have a beautiful 3,5 hours drive passing by the Blue Mountains. It´s so much worth going there, as this Resort offers the chance to experience an unaffected environment.
Tip: If you´re confident in horse riding, please don´t hesitate: This is an outstanding experience and the best way to watch wild animals and experience nature.
